Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 9 June 2026
These terms and conditions apply to the use of BinSync. By using the website, looking up a waste collection schedule, creating a calendar feed, subscribing to a feed, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with these terms, you should not use BinSync.
BinSync is an independent utility that helps turn provider schedule data into calendar feeds. It is intended to be useful and practical, but it is not the official source for collection days and it is not operated by a waste provider or municipality.
1. The service
BinSync helps users find waste collection schedules by entering address details such as postcode and house number. When a schedule can be found, BinSync may show the collection days and generate an iCal-compatible calendar feed that can be used in calendar applications such as Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, or other calendar tools that support subscriptions.
The service depends on external providers, public sources, third-party integrations, hosting infrastructure, calendar clients, and technical systems outside BinSync's direct control. BinSync may change, expand, limit, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service at any time.
2. Your responsibility
You are responsible for entering correct and complete address details. If you enter the wrong postcode, house number, house number addition, provider, or other information, the resulting schedule or calendar feed may be incorrect.
You should verify important collection information through the official source, especially when a date looks unusual, a holiday or route change is involved, a container was not collected, or missing a collection would cause practical problems. BinSync is a convenience tool and does not replace official provider communication.
3. Accuracy of schedule data
BinSync tries to retrieve and present schedule data accurately, but cannot guarantee that collection days, collection types, provider coverage, reminders, calendar events, or updates are complete, correct, current, or available at all times.
Waste providers, municipal sources, and integrations may publish incorrect data, change their systems, block access, delay updates, remove data, or make changes that BinSync cannot immediately detect. Calendar clients may also refresh subscribed feeds slowly or inconsistently. As a result, a calendar feed may show outdated, incomplete, duplicated, delayed, or missing events.
4. Calendar feeds and reminders
Calendar feeds are generated to help you subscribe to collection days in your own calendar application. The exact way a feed is refreshed, displayed, cached, or notified depends partly on the calendar application you use. BinSync cannot control how often external calendar tools fetch updates or how those tools handle reminders.
If BinSync offers email reminders, feed settings, or related notifications, those features are provided as an additional convenience. BinSync does not guarantee that a notification or reminder will always be delivered, received, displayed, or read in time.
5. Accounts, links, and tokens
Some parts of the service may use subscription links, feed URLs, tokens, or other identifiers. These links and tokens may provide access to your calendar feed or related settings. You are responsible for keeping them private and not sharing them with people who should not have access.
BinSync may revoke, replace, limit, or disable links and tokens when needed for security, abuse prevention, maintenance, or service changes.
6. Fair use
You may use BinSync for normal personal, household, and reasonable professional use. You may not misuse the service, overload it with automated requests, scrape it at scale, attempt to bypass technical limits, interfere with its operation, reverse engineer non-public parts of the service, or use it in a way that harms BinSync, other users, providers, or infrastructure.
BinSync may block, rate-limit, suspend, or terminate access when use appears abusive, unsafe, unlawful, excessive, or harmful to the service.
7. Costs
BinSync may be offered free of charge, with paid features, or with partner-specific arrangements. If paid features are introduced, the price and relevant payment terms will be shown before you purchase or activate those features. Free features may be changed, limited, or discontinued.
8. Intellectual property
The BinSync name, website, software, design, text, generated content, and related materials are owned by BinSync or its licensors unless stated otherwise. You may use the service for its intended purpose, but you may not copy, reproduce, redistribute, sell, or commercially exploit BinSync materials without permission.
Waste provider names, logos, data, or references may belong to their respective owners. BinSync is not affiliated with or endorsed by those parties unless this is stated explicitly.
9. Privacy
BinSync processes personal data as described in the privacy policy. The privacy policy explains what data may be processed, why it is used, how long it may be kept, and what rights you may have.
10. Availability and changes
BinSync is provided without a service-level guarantee. The service may be unavailable, slow, incomplete, or interrupted because of maintenance, hosting problems, provider-side changes, blocked integrations, software bugs, security issues, or other circumstances.
BinSync may update, change, remove, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. BinSync may also change these terms when the service, integrations, business model, or legal requirements change. The most recent version is published on this page. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Liability
BinSync is provided as-is and as available. To the maximum extent permitted by law, BinSync is not liable for damage, loss, costs, missed collections, incorrect schedules, delayed updates, missing reminders, unavailable feeds, provider errors, calendar client behavior, or other consequences connected to the use or inability to use the service.
Nothing in these terms limits liability where liability cannot legally be limited. If BinSync is nevertheless found liable, that liability is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant part of the service in the three months before the event that caused the claim, or EUR 25 if you used the service free of charge.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable where BinSync is operated, unless mandatory consumer protection rules require otherwise. Disputes should first be raised with BinSync so a practical solution can be attempted.
