Check your waste calendar when collection days change

Several waste providers are warning residents to recheck pickup days around route changes and public holidays. Here is why it matters.

Several waste providers are reminding residents not to assume their usual pickup day stays the same.

That matters because schedule changes do not only happen at New Year. They can also happen when routes are reorganized, when neighborhoods grow, or when public holidays interrupt normal collection rounds.

In large parts of the municipality of Epe, Circulus announced that collection days will change from June 1, 2026. Residents are asked to check the updated waste calendar in late May and to restart the app if they do not immediately see changes.

A similar reminder came from Rd4 around Ascension Day on May 14, 2026. All Rd4 locations are closed that day, and no household waste is collected. Residents are told to check the Rd4 app to see when their waste will be collected instead.

For households, the practical lesson is simple: even if your routine usually stays stable, the safest option is to verify your pickup schedule when your provider announces a route update or holiday closure.

A digital calendar subscription helps here because the latest collection dates can stay visible in the calendar you already use every day. That makes it easier to spot a changed pickup day before you miss it.

If your local provider publishes a service update, it is worth checking three things right away:

  • Whether your next pickup date has moved
  • Whether the provider app needs a refresh before new dates appear
  • Whether your container should still be out before the usual morning cutoff

A small check can prevent a missed collection and save you from waiting another week.
